Question How's Your Penmanship?

Mine is just okay. If I really concentrate, I can write really well. Normally though, there's nothing special about it. I have a friend who has the most beautiful handwriting.

Nah, mine is true left-handed chicken scratch (or as my ex-coworker referred it as: "It looks like a chicken took a dump on a piece of paper.")

I always print in block capitals - very fast and a little messy. not everyone can read it, but i can write upside-down or sideways pretty fluently.

I don't have pretty writing or anything. I do have unique writing though, I haven't met anybody who writes the way I do. I never had the "bubble writing" that is so common among teen girls, back when I was in junior/senior high school. My writing actually resembled chicken scratch up to the end of my 8th grade year. I can write really fast too...My writing is actually very neat now, none of that chicken scratch stuff.

I would consider my penmanship OK, but compared to everyone else's around me, mine is awesome! I am really good at deciphering other people's chicken scratch, just as I also seem to have a talent at understanding people with accents better than those around me, but still, some of my friends and colleagues have to most awful writing! And it's really bad too with what I do-not being able to read a medical record or orders is a real problem! My mom has to have me read the Christmas card her best friend sends her every year because she can't read it!

My writing is a odd mixture of printing and cursive. I don't like writing in cursive, but mixing the two allows me to print faster.

Actually, I got the idea from an old map (1939) which had writing kind of like the one I used above.

Yeah, the way some of the letters curve, especially the As, Is and Ts...sort of resembles Chinese lettering. It's great looking.

My penmanship is a bit shaky because I've had that arm practically sewn back on at the elbow. But for some reason, it doesn't effect me nearly as much when I paint. I never could figure that out.

This is kind of embarrassing to admit, but I don't even know how to write in cursive anymore. That's one of the reasons I hate writing letters so much, it always makes me feel illiterate. My printing is pretty good though. Iv'e had numerous people tell me that my handwriting is more like a woman's handwriting, then a guys. I never know whether to take that as a compliment, or an insult.

Very, very bad. Always has been. My handwriting style has been the same since about the 4th grade. Teachers would always complain about it.

mine has definitely improved in the last couple of years. Mine went from being bad to ok. Now I can actually read what I wrote.
