Default How do you feel when you receive a gift with the price tag STILL ON?

I try not to look at the price. It makes me feel weird like, did they do that on purpose?

I don't think I've ever gotten an Xmas present with the tag still on, but I'd be a little peeved about it

It never bothered me. I used to leave it on all the time.

A long time ago an aunt of mine gave me a beautiful wallet but the tag was still on there, she gave it to me for my birthday. I wanted to look at the price, but i would feel bad. Maybe she forgot, so I just took it off and threw it away.

My grandmother used to give birthday and X-mas presents with the tags on. She wouldn't really buy super expensive things, but still they were nice things she could afford. She did it to make my other grandmother feel bad because they both hated each other, and my other grandmother was a widow who couldn't afford to buy people a whole lot of things.

Wow...that's sad when i hear when things are like that in families. We all have those people in our families though. BTW, but what was the reason for leaving the price tags on? If your other grandmother knew she was giving you gifts, wouldn't that be enough to tick her off? Or did she want her to see how much she spent too?

Sometimes, I've gotten gifts from people with the tags still on and with a gift receipt, so that if it's something I don't like very much or something I already have, I can just exchange it for something else instead.

Same here! I pretend it isn't there.

To leave the price tag on a gift betrays an ancient and sacred law of gift circulation that results in the unraveling of a small portion of the space-time continuum.

...It's happened to me... once before. And... I was never... quite the same... again...

I feel that maybe they just forgot, and I don't fret over it.

I guess it all depends on what the price tag says.
