to clarify, someone else offered a similar set recently, and when you tried to trade, they dropped a $200 sale offer on the potential trader

i am takeing almost anything that i dont have in trade for this set

i want everyone to have one in their collection

I have the 29 DVD set of Batman uncut that is Joker's work, done with the help and artistic talents of another trader friend of mine, Allaboutduncan... believe me the 29 DVD set is marvelous... the menu artwork alone makes this set superior! And to have all 120 episodes uncut... needless to say this Batfan is in BatHeaven!

i don't think it is too smart to trade an item just to get a person mad ,.. but to each his own.

not taking sides or anything but Loren you will NEVER understand a person who makes a set ... why ... cause you never made a set. ..hell i never made a full set .

brother it's hard work just making menus and reauthoring a set (which is my new hobby , by the way)... ... think about it chief you had a hard time allowing me to complete my belvedere set cause you had stipulations you felt were correct..... i know old news .. just trying to show you a comparison....

when set creators make a set ,.. it takes months ... they don't make them for sellers,.. like yourself to whore them and make the green back ... they have the right to hold back an item and get as much back financially as they see fit ... after all Loren how did you buy your studio worth of dubbing equiptment ,... SELLS OF TV SHOWS. ... i too hate when people hold s***t back ,.. but you must understand when a person worked hard to author a set from scratch.

i'm not trying to school you Loren ,.. just trying to show you a different perspective of looking at this....reputations stand on their own ... let your ego relax a bit bro... sometimes i have to .. sometimes Joker has too

Which, apparently, includes undercutting, as well as verbally swaying people away from, the very creator of some of the sets you sell on ioffer. (Referring specifically to your listing of Joker's Leave it to Beaver set and the "why buy from someone who only has 1 feedback" comment.)

How totally uncool. As someone who admittedly does not know how to author a DVD, you could at least show some respect to the people who actually put in the effort to create nice, professional-looking sets, instead of parasitically profiting off of their work while making them looking like the "bad guy" who overcharges and whose integrity is to be doubted (especially when you know it's not).

Welcome back Joker, I look forward to seeing what sets you're coming out with next.

if you were on a sales site to purchase an item--any item-- would you buy from a person with one feedback, or a person with 1400 plus ?

further, if you were trying to make a deal--any deal--would you tell the other person in the deal that you have references--if they didnt know you???

of course you would, thats exactly what i did, buy pointing out the feedback number

also along the way i point out that i use quality blanks and ship via priority

of course one needs to put their best foot out in front

at least 20 people emailed me that they wanted that nice batman set, and it was being held out for big bucks--they figured i could get it

i even had some people who wanted to buy and split it from the sales site

i even had copies of two emails that wanted big money, and no trade for it

what a person does with their item is their own beeswax--absolutely no question

i had a very nice 24 disc set, plenty nice and actualy it was a non factor for me

so i couldnt understand the uproar over the uncut one

and seriously, even though the menus are great---we only use menus to select an epsiode, not to watch

so when an uncut set was made avaible to me, i swapped for it, and freely have passed it around

i like certain shows, for sure some folks love this one

did i trade it for effect--probably 100 %

did i want to prove a point--absolutely 100%

you of all people on this site can relate to that idea---right??

its also helped people, just a little while ago, another good trader, has posted he has the 29 disc set for trade

20 discs of matlock and about 35 discs of perry mason on the way to my set

but i bet i dont throw a fit when someone else uses it for their gain

but my point is that --i--dont think its correct to get $ 6 to $10 a disc

and i also dont think its correct to hold things out from trades

i have two lists,

one normal one, and one premium one

and as the name implies

the premium one is better things thats for trade only for similar better things

i dont believe in the hold back principal, or the three for one idea i have seem either

all my items are avaible--just get me something thats similar, that i want

also on that same line

i dont bait people and then try and jam a sale on them

my stuff is for trade

and i would rather trade any day to get something i want

if i tried to do the trade and switch to a sale thing--i would be gone in no time from this site---i would be reported and banned in a heartbeat

i have been questioned and monitored at length about just such things, and also posting sales web sites, which i have never done

as evidenced by the fact that im still here

i dont mention a sale until someone asks about it

i choose to come here, and since i do, the rules need to be follwed to the letter


and eli, if you remember back why you were mad at me--its because i only trade singles, i refuse to sell them

reason--otherwise i never get my stuff filled in if i dont coax someone into finding things to help my lists

i wasnt holding out on the mr belvedere, you have access to people that i dont

you have relationships that i dont

therefore you can get things that i can not

i have a huge list of episode wants on my web site

its no big trick to find something i would need to fill in


please dont anyone think this is a arguement, its just a calm exchange of ideas
