Default Best of these R&B songs

Here's a list of my favorite R&B songs of the 1990's. Of the ones I listed, which ones are your favorites?? I purposely left out people like Boyz 2 Men, and Whitney Houston, because I knew if I put them, they'd probably get the majority of the votes. So of the songs I listed, which do you like best??

The five I picked were:
Live And Learn: Joe Public
She's Playing Hard To Get: Hi-Five
Real Love: Mary J. Blige
Freak Me: Silk
Too Close: Next

Arrested Development is my favorite of the bunch but I don't consider them r&b or dance.

I voted for Next (Too Close) but I couldn't decide between that or Joe Public (Live and Learn); I have both those songs downloaded on a CD that i burned, how funny that a majority of the songs you posted, I have downloaded...ahhh great minds working again!!!!

You could actually vote for more then one song. I usually vote for five tops, but on this poll I voted for 7, or 8. Too Close was one of my choices as well. That's the most recent song on the list. Most of these songs are for my two favorite years in music. 1992, and 1993. Here are all of my favorites.

Baby Baby Baby
Rhythm Is A Dancer
Real Love
Don't Walk Away
Weak
Freak Me
Breathe Again
Hey M.r D.J.
Sweat
Too Close

All these songs bring back so many memories of the best two years of my life. I wish today's R&B was still like this. I'm feeling really nostalgic right now.

I chose "Another Sad Love Song" by Toni Braxton. That woman can sing the phone book!

You and I definitely do have alot in common, whether it's movies, music, or even sometimes politics. You're absolutely right, great minds definitely do think alike!!

She sure does have an awesome voice. And that's a great song!! I like Breathe Again a little better, but that song isn't far behind. I just wish we'd hear more from her. She'd put some of todays R&B artists to shame with her beautiful voice!!

OMG I love this list. I've always loved 90s RnB! I'm really nostalgic for this time too...it reminds me of my childhood and a lot of memories I had growing up...anyway, I picked
Baby Baby Baby by TLC
What About Your Friends by TLC
Rhythm Is a Dancer by Snap!
Real Love by Mary J.
Weak and Im So Into You by SWV
Dont Walk Away by Jade
Too Close by Next
Hey Mr. DJ by Zhane
Breathe by Toni Braxton

Someone remembers Zhane. I really liked their song "Shame."
Faith Evans was great in the 90s too. I remember "Soon As I Get Home" and "Love Like This" and "You Used To Love Me"...which used to be one of my favorite songs for some reason. I think Faith Evans has such a great voice. I have a long list of 90s rnb songs/groups that I used to love but I wont type it all, it would take too much time

I'd personally argue that TLC would get more votes on average than Boyz II Men. BIIM were huge, but TLC were much better IMO

You might be right about that, but I remember Boyz 2 Men being the second biggest R&B act, second only to Whitney Houston at one time. I think as far as longevity goes, TLC definitely wins. To be honest with you, the main reason I didn't put B2M, and Whitney up, is because I don't like them as much as the other artists and groups I listed. Their songs got so much radio airplay, that I just got sick of them.

Don't know if you know, but that song was originally done in 1978 by Evelyn "Champagne" King. You should seek out the original if you haven't heard it, it's the far superior version.

the prob right now is that mainstream r&b doesn't have much of an identity outside of hip hop. There is a lot of good stuff but it's not getting commercial airplay. The last r&b song that I really liked that was a huge hit single was "Lose My Breath"
