Question Your Hair Stylist

I had the same hair stylist for seven years, but she moved away earlier this year. Since then, I've been floundering trying to find somone who cuts and highlights my hair as well as she did. My husband's had the same barber for 15 years.

Words cannot express how much I love the lady who does my hair. I've gotten my hair cut and styled and whatever at about 2348723894 other places and they never did it the way I wanted. I have super thick hair, arbitrarily wavy hair, and apparenty people thought I liked that. So they would make my hair poofy and curled under like this horrible bob thing and I always hated it. Always. But then my aunt started getting her hair cut by this one lady and my mom started going there and I started going there and for once someone understood the horror that is my hair. She convinced me to get my hair chemically straightened, which has been a lifesaver, and she also convinced me to get like 6 inches of my hair chopped off. Now, done by anyone else, this would've been a horrible decision, but I brought her a picture and she did it PERFECTLY. I don't trust anyone else with my hair. When I got my senior pictures retaken, someone else had to style my hair for me because she was booked and I hated it. Never again.

And that's my story,.

I used to have a lady that, despite the fact that she did indeed have a cosmetology license, couldn't style hair for ****. Wasn't real great at cutting it either. So my mom's friend has a friend who's a stylist and she claimed that he could do anything with any kind of hair. We've been with him for a little over a year and my hair has really never looked better.

Now if I could just do something with it...

My mother has known her hair styist from highschool and has been with her for 19 years. I grew up going to her. She is completely awesome.

A close friend of mine (for over 25 years) cuts and styles my hair; she is the only one that I can trust.

Ive been going to the same stylist since I was about 6 years old. Even though I moved, I still drive the 90 minutes to get my hair done. I dont care. She knows my hair and I love all the girls who work there.

I don't even care where I get my hair trimmed, just as long as the place offers a discount for college students. I AM NOT SHELLING OUT $25 FOR A STUPID TRIM. I go to a MasterCuts to get my trims done, and I'm happy with it. $10 for a trim, with the discount. Much better. Hey, if you were a college student, you'd understand.

I hope to eventually have my hair chemically straightened and when I do that, I will go to the place my mom has her hair done. I really like my mom's hairstylist but I haven't gone to her since May 2004 because the salon she works at now is really expensive. She worked at a different one previously for many years. This hairstylist has been a friend of my mom's for 20+ years and I started going to her in 1988. I would still go to her if I weren't a college student and had money to throw away, because I like the way she does my hair too.

I haven't had a haircut since April. My hair is the longest it has been in 10 years.
