Default What's your favorite series finale?

For me it still has to be Six Feet Under where Claire drives off into the sunset contemplating the lives and deaths of everyone she leaves behind...very moving and fitting end. Any other favorites out there?

Well I don't have just 1. So I'll name my all time favorites.

Roseanne (Although many hate it)
Three's Company (Although it was rushed)
Third Watch (Good episode)
Wonder Years (Loved It)
Star Trek: Deep Space Nine (Very Satisfying)

I hated seeing it go but I remember Fame had a great final episode.

I haven't seen that many.. Actually, the finales from my favorite series I even haven't seen (Happy Days, Boy meets World, Frasier).

The ones I have seen where no good:

Full House: not even a 'real' finale (there war supposed to be another season- that's why).
The Nanny: I didn't even like the last season with Niles and CC becoming a couple. How dumb was that? So no need to say how I disliked the finale.
The Wonder Years: also not even a 'real' finale. It was the last part of a 2-parter, and in the last 5 minutes the adult Kevin quickly tells us how his dad died, Wayne took over his dad's bussiness and he, Kevin, didn't marry Winnie. We never get to see this, he just tells it in the last 5 minutes. I didn't even realize it was supposed to be the finale.

So the only finale I really liked was the Friends-finale.

Mine would have to be Mary Tyler Moore. Can't get much better than that! Other finales I also like:

Murphy Brown - Murphy being cancer free, the returns of Eldin and Phil, just classic stuff.
Wings - Helen finally having some success w/ her cello, Brian taking over Sandpiper. Again, classic.
The Golden Girls - Dorothy's wedding was a perfect way to end. Nice mix of comedy and emotion.

Friends
Everybody Loves Raymond
Star Trek: TNG
Murphy Brown

All of these had good final episodes I thought.

My favorites are

Family Ties(even though I haven't seen all of it)
Friends
Little House on the Prairie
The Cosby Show
Spin City(the one where Mike leaves even though that isn't the finale)
Family Matters

I'm not going to give it away, but Newhart's finale is tops with me.

That ending was pure genius!! I think Bob Newhart said that the last scene was his wife's idea!!

Let's see--
Golden Girls--couldn't help crying when Dorothy is saying good-bye to the girls
Friends--but I wish they would've at least mentioned about Joey moving to Calif. The writers already had his show in the works so it wasn't like they decided to do a spin-off after the Friends finale. And I also would've liked it if Monica found out she was pregnant after all after getting the other babies. I guess the writers didn't want to leave any loose ends with that one.
Wings--The same thing Kristen said, Helen finally fulfills her dream and Brian finally becomes a responsible adult.
M*A*S*H--Isn't this still one of the top 10 most watched things on TV?
