This was a tough one, but I had to go with combination. It came down to composite sketches and the main theme for me.

Difficult, very difficult. I'd have to say pictures of big foot, aliens, ghosts, etc. Although the main music is terrifing, and a combination is OK, but def. the pics!!

Um for me (espeically for the earlier episodes) i would say the MUSIC! Oh my god i still have nightmares about the Robert Church murdering his girlfriends parents and running after her down the street. And it was all becase of the music. I think that and the grainyness (sp?) of the earlier episodes. The later episodes never scare me as much as the earlier ones.
