The premiere date for AI5 I think is January 17th, that's less then 2 months away! So yeah we really are getting close. Im excited

Anyway, this is a thread for all pre-season rumors/news...ect, such as auditioners, Hollywood contestants, rumors.

Simon's "irish girl" favorite, who he said was almost as good as Kelly Clarkson, was disqualified from AI because she didnt have a visa

Also, the judges say the girls are better then the guys this season AGAIN. That's how it is every year! I wanted a guy to win this season

The judges say this could possibly be the best season yet. So far, the auditions have been amazing and that they have been a lot better then the auditions for Seasons 3 and 4. Theres been A LOT of talent so far, according to the judges.

From Today's New York Times:

In order to establish a stronger presence on Thursday, Fox has been considering expanding what it calls the "results show" of "Idol," which reveals the contestant who has been eliminated, from a half-hour to an hour.

Fox executives said last night that the network would announce its plans for the scheduling of "American Idol" today and that the Thursday option was thought to be more likely than it was as recently as last week.

Oh you have no idea how excited I am. AI season premeires are like, a big deal to me. I might have to take the day off and party or something. I miss not seeing my Ryans face every week.

MAYBE IF WE'RE LUCKY CLAIKENS WILL GO ON AND PERFOM BACK FOR MORE SINCE PAST IDOLS USUALLY GO ON. I doubt this would ever happen, but it would be nice. You know we aint gonna see Kelly on it again!
