eBay Selling Dilemma--Help! - Sitcoms Online Message Boards

Okay, so the thing is, I'm selling all of my Buffy DVDs so that I can take that money and buy the Complete Series boxset instead. Anyway, discs are missing from seasons 1, 2 and 3, for reasons that will go unmentioned.

So anyway, I listed all of those discs and their boxes on eBay in a single auction starting at $35, which I determined to be a reasonable price. Now, somebody has bid on it, and then informed me in a message that if they win, they will not pay for the item because all of the discs are not there.

Now, I didn't find my listing to be misleading because not only do I clearly state that the discs aren't all there, but I ALSO listed which discs ARE there and the episodes that are on them.

What do I do in a case like this? Should I grant their wish, or are you legally bound into a contract to pay once you place the bid? This is something I really am desperate to sell and I feel that the person should not have bid before looking at the description; afterall, if they would have even skimmed it for five seconds, they would have known what I was offering.

What do you do in a situation like this?

They HAVE TO PAY once they bid- that's ebay's rules. If they win and still won't pay, turn them in to ebay as a non paying bidder. If they're too stupid to realize that, then they deserved to be warned by ebay.

As long as you stated they were missing, you are in the clear. They should have spend the time to read the auction.

Reply to them that you clearly stated what you are exactly selling, and if they do not pay you will report them as a non-paying bidder and leave negative feedback.
