I heard that Franklin Seales who played "Dexter" passed away. Is this true? If so, how did he die? Thanks.

He died of AIDs back in the early 90's.

If he were, those closest to him may have been the only ones who knew. But he might have been gay, though I'm not sure.

In any case, when a friend of my sister's told me that "Dexter died", I knew right away who he was talking about.

Good point. Especially since not everyone with AIDS is gay, and not everyone who is gay has AIDS.

It's sad that he died of AIDS so young. I mean, he was only 38 or so, right? I found some information on a site that was about a vine in the rainforest called Aucistrocladus koropensis that, according to the site, may be effective in treating AIDS.

Yes, Franklin Seales was a known homosexual, and sadly he died of Aids on May 21, 1990.
