Am I the only girl.......
who hasn't ever had a boy call her anything like hot, sexy, pretty, beautiful, ect before??
It makes me feel really bad that no boy calls me anything like that ever while all my friends and family get called those nice names all the time! Last year boys always called me ugly like every single day!!  Sometimes my friends or people in my familiy say I'm not ugly and I'm pretty, but I can't believe them since a boy has never said I'm pretty or anything! I did get a boyfriend a few days ago....I met him online, he was a couple of my friends ex boyfriend. My friends keep telling me he's just a jerk and I shouldn't go out with him or anything. But if my "boyfriend" ever met me or saw me, I'm afraid if he'd break up with me  Please take me seriously here. |

Just because a boy hasn't said it doesn't mean squat. Seriously. If you have to rely on boys to keep up your self-esteem, you're in for a long and depressing life.
It's Thanksgiving (at least for a few more minutes). Just be thankful you're healthy and have a house to live in and food on the table. Don't dwell over this crap. |

I don't even speak to any guys at this point, therefore I have no idea what they are thinking about me. No one has ever randomly come up to me and told me I was pretty or anything like that. I personally don't think I'm all that attractive. I don't say that to fish for compliments, that's just how I feel about myself. I don't really mind much anymore. It used to annoy me that my sister got so much more attention from people in general when she was my age then I do, but I've gotten over it. We're complete opposites anyways.
Stop obsessing with having a boyfriend. You don't want to come off as desperate, or guys really aren't going to like you. Hm, well atleast I'm guessing that is the case. I may not be the most reliable source when it comes to the guy department... |

You need to get to know yourself and appeciate the qualities you do have. If your worried about appearing sexy to some idiot who knows what to say to keep you in check, then your gonna be be depressed and probably knocked up by 16 to put it bluntly. A guy worth having is one who appreciates the fact that your happy with yourself and knowing that no one is going to change that about you. Beauty lasts a moment, depth lasts a lifetime.

Well I'm married and my husband doesn't tell me all that mushy crap. Every once in a while he'll tell me my hair looks nice or that I look good in a certain outfit but I don't think he's ever called me sexy or hot or whatever to my face. It doesn't bother me a bit, I mean he wouldn't have married me if he wasn't attracted to me. What's important to me is that he has a job, is responsible and able to take care of his family. Half these guys who tell their women that they are hot and gorgeous don't even really mean it anyway. One minute theyh tell you your gorgeous and that they love you and the next minute they go out and cheat on you or something.

why should it matter if boys say that you're sexy or hot? over half the time at this age, it's just a superficial comment to make, with little or no meaning.
for example, my friend was dating this girl Amy for a week. and during that week, he was saying how hot and sexy she was practically once every 5 minutes! guess what, they broke up. now, he says she's the fattest ugliest bitch in the world, and he constantly picks her appearance apart. so if a boy calls you sexy or hot, the chances are that he'll find someone else within the next couple of days to call "hot and sexy" and he'll forget about you. i should know. but actually i've thought this one girl was hot and sexy for 2 months now and she's the only girl i like in that way. you shouldn't base your happiness off of what guys say to you. if you do this, you will only have a life of sorrow and depression, and a low self image. |
