Default When Rerun called Raj's dad's work to inquire why he had been fired...

there is no way in hell any employer would answer a question to just anyone who called asking why the employer fired someone. That was sooo not real. That would never happen. I hated WH for lame crap like this. Maybe if Raj saw his dad leaving work or seeing him going to work, or something, that would have worked. But no way, the bit having Rerun calling the job and just flat out asking a personal question like that. Stupid writers on this show too.

Arrow Call me CRAZY, but...

...I still don't see the overall point of that particular episode.
I agree w/Irene in the fact that the story was poorly written, and was actually carried out over the AIRWAVES...Umph.

I knew you would Cindy!
The episode was abt their dad moving in their home as a boarder because of money the family needed for taxes. The dad really wasn't out of work, he did it becuz Mabel wouldn't take the $$$ any other way. It started out a good episode, but the writers did goof big time with how the father was found out. It definitely could have been done better.

Question And another thing...concerning the writers' overall style

Muchas Gracias, Irene-girl...and yes, this particular episode COULD have been written a whole lot better than it was. The overall plot SUCKED!!!

But another thing, though, concerning the WH writer staff's style in general...
Where a majority of the WH episodes were funny to the point of literally splitting your sides, also enjoyable, there were some shows on there that left a LOT to be desired.
Besides this particular episode (where Rerun called Raj's dad's work...etc.,), in the one where Raj and his buds obtain the black & white set for the church raffle ("Black & White Blues, Season 2), could have stood a little more "seasoning" overall, too. That lacked a whole lot of interest, and didn't have too much "genuine"-level humor involved throughout...

Now that I own the whole WH series on DVD, Seasons 1 through 3, I can make that honest conclusion about how well or how badly those shows were written, overall...

I hate to say that, but it's true.

Yeah, I feel like that too abt the raffle episode...alot to be desired. I can't think of any scene or episode that sticks out as making me rolling on the floor laughing...that's sad
