No computer audio!!! - Sitcoms Online Message Boards

I turned my PC back on this morning and woke up 'MUTE'...Went to the Control Panel and checked on the audio controls and got a msg of 'No active mixers devices available'....Went to the audio panel and there's nothing in there as if my speakers were non existant. Tried the troubleshooter of Windows and nada! Help please.

go to device manager (right click my computer-manage-device manager) and see if you see any explaniation marks, warnings, etc... anything that sticks out.

Did that too and nothing. It shows that the devices are enabled.

have you installed any games or done any updates just prior to this?

you might want to uninstall the drivers and see if Windows detects the audio device and then reload the drivers (write down all the info first)
