Is it Weird that our Family eat off of Paper Plates and Plastic Knives and Forks on - Sitcoms Online Message Boards

Thanksgiving day?-lol I think we have been doing that for the last 10 years and I guess it's just easier that way. So the table has plastic cups. knives, forks, and spoons, and paper plates. Anyone family does this?

thats what we do...no dish washing nessisary!

Nope, in fact my sister has already said, "Be prepared for paper plates or be prepared to do the dishes"

I always do that for large gatherings. I buy the holiday themed heavy-duty plates, bowls, cups, etc. I use regular silverware though.

That sounds like a good idea. I wish I had thought of that last year!! I had to wash a ton of dishes!! I finally got a dishwasher so we'll continue using regular plates this year.

There's nothing wrong with that. I wish I would've thought of doing that. I only do it (also) for large gatherings.

Is it weird? No.

We do that at our family gatherings. My sister prefers dishes at Thanksgiving though, but for those who want to use them. I encourage everyone there to use paper paper paper, cuz I do the dishes!!!!!!!!!

Weird? My family does that too. It saves dishes. Well, we do that from the plate perspective. The knives and forks, and cups we just use the regular. Retro, how do you figure that's weird?

Someone criticized my family for doing that a couple of years ago and said it was odd not to use regular plates-lol My argument was that there was no dish washing afterwards

Well, it's not anybody's place to criticize how a family do things. People do that in the parks in the summertime. people are just ignorant. if you don't mind me asking, who was this someone?
