How old are they?

This question was asked a long time ago, but I'm going to answer it anyway!

I assume you mean how old is the cast? As of April 2002:

Judd Hirsh, who played Alex, is 67 (March 15, 1935)
Danny DeVito, who played Louie, is 57 (November 17, 1944)
Marilu Henner, who played Elaine, is 50 (April 6, 1952)
Tony Danza, who played Tony, is 51 (April 21, 1951)
Andy Kaufman, if he were still alive, would be 53 (January 17, 1949)
Jeff Conaway, who played Bobby, is 51 (October 5, 1950)
Randall Carver, who played John Burns, is 55 (May 25, 1946)
Carol Kane, who played Simka, is 49 (June 18, 1952)
Christopher Lloyd, who played Rev. Jim, is 63 (October 22, 1938)

Wow, I didn't realize they were that old! They seem so young on Taxi. Of course, the show did premiere before I was even born

You're right! They do seem old.... and it felt really weird when I found out that Elaine is the same age as my mom!

But then, the show premiered about 24 years ago. So when you take that into account, most of the characters were young, in their 20s, during the run of the show.
