I just bought (Season 1) yesterday and watched most of the episodes and had a good laugh. I will watch the others another day. Can't wait to buy the other seasons.

I own the first two seasons on DVD as well, and I find myself popping them in whenever I need a quick pick-me-up to brighten my day!

I now have the other seasons; just bought season six yesterday and season five sometime last week (I think) it was; well anyway, at least now I am up to date with my seasons. I now have a big collection of tv series.

My (Golden Girls) collection is now complete; just bought "Season 7" tonight.

Does anybody have any update on how (Estelle Getty) is doing health wise?
Also, how are the rest the (girls) doing these days overall? Any news??

I got the complete Season 5 & 6 six DVD set a couple of days ago and I let a friend borrow both of them. I sure hope I get them back. I also bought a DVD recorder, so I'm just recording all of my favorite eps from lifetime. It's starting from Season 1 again tonight so that's what I'm doing.

Hey, not sure what season the "great herring war" is from but that's got to be one of my top 5 scenes

When Blanche and Dorothy can hardly contain themselves laughing and Rose (brilliantly acted by Betty White) just sitting there aloof...classic!

Dorothy: "You mean, they never shot a herring out of a cannon?"

I think it's from "The Way We Met," the season one finale. They flash back on how they met. It is also in the episode I saw this morning, "Golden Moments," from season three, where Sophia wants to move in with Phil and the girls reminisce about their lives together.

As far as I know she is doing about the same. She sleeps a lot of the day, but she still has her humor.
