With all this talk about just a "best of" DVD of "Night Court" being done, what would your best six episode picks be to put on DVD?

Coffee, Tea & Larroquette!

The only thing I don't understand is why WB is putting out a Markie Post set before a John Larroquette set. I mean, after all, it would be nice to have a set of the award-winning Dan Fielding episodes.

Hmm...of any eps:
Danny Get Your Gun trilogy, and Her Honor quadrilogy. Not just some of their funniest, but the plots were really engrossing, too. Of a Markie disc: Where Christine almost marries the dork; First time she met Tony; When Dan saves her life; Dating the 60 year old guy; Harrassed by the dad from Family Ties; Her dinner party for Chuck and Di anniversary. That's if they only did six eps, is that all they're doing?? That chews. There is a Markie tv episode on dvd right now...her guest shot on Cheers in like 1985. She and Danson were really good together, causing Shelley Long's character to go nuts. |

This was a tough one, because there are so many great episodes to choose from. I figured that I'd try to spread some of the wealth of seasons.
If the disc set only has six episodes (I think I saw on TV Shows on DVD that that's how may there are.), here are my six picks. 1. "Contempt of Courting" 2. Who was that Mashed Man" 3. "Yet Another Day In The Life" -Season 6 episode #123 4. "Heart of Stone" 5. "Passion Plundered" 6. "The System Works" As A Bonus extra I may include both parts of the series finale "Opportunity Knocks" If it turns out to be a 13 episode best of, I would add the following episodes: 7. "The Nun" 8. "Let It Snow" 9. "My Three Dads" 10. "Where There's A Will, There's A Tony (a.k.a. "Fools Rush In) Part One 11. "Where There's A Will, There's A Tony Part Two" 12. "Opportunity Knocks-Part One" 13. "Opportunity Knocks-Part Two" My extras would include a blooper reel and commentary by all cast members. |

It would only include the episodes with Mel Torme. The rest don't matter.

What, you mean no episodes with references to Barry Manilow?

There was one show I remember seeing a while ago where 2 siblings were fighting over their fathers ashes. I think it was their father. The fathers name was Herb. At the end of the show Dan is in Harrys office drinking some herb tea. Harry told Dan that wasn't herb tea. It was Herb tea! That one was great!

Ah, yes! Yet another classic. Harry (shaking the urn): "Hey this thing's empty." Art: "Oh, sorry Your Honor. I used that herb tea to test the coffee maker." Harry to Art: "Art, this wasn't herb tea. This was Herb!" Cut to the expression on Dan's face as he "drinks" Herb. His expression was priceless. I never laughed so hard. What other show has someone supposedly drinking a dead guy? Only "Night Court" could do something like that, folks. Only "Night Court." |
