Wink Bands/Singers You're Embarrassed to admit you like?

Are there any bands/singers you enjoy in the privacy of your own home or in the sanctity of your car? Bands you never thought you'd like for a million years until you actually gave them a chance?

For me it would be the Bee Gees....When I was younger, I found their high-pitched voices weird and not musically appealing at ALL...until about a year or so ago when I watched an episode of That 70's Show that featured the Bee Gees songs as disco music. Then Saturday Night Fever came on t.v. and I was even more hooked-- they have some really awesome songs! So, I'm not sure if it was Eric Forman's geeky imitation of a disco dance or John Travolta's gyrating hips, but I began to like the Bee Gees a lot! I wouldn't call myself a hardcore fan or anything ( I reserve that title for the Beatles ) but they are definately a good group with some very nice, catchy songs....just don't tell anyone I said that

Some of my favorite Bee Gees songs:

"How Deep is Your Love?"
"I Started a Joke"
"Tragedy"
"I Just Want to Be Your Everything"
"Love You Inside Out"
"Nights on Broadway"
"Stayin' Alive"
"More than a Woman"
"Shadow Dancing"
"How Can You Mend a Broken Heart?"
"The Grease theme"
"Emotion"
"Jive Talkin'"

Anyone else?

Does anybody remember the Starland Vocal Band television show? I was only 5 or 6 when it was on, and I could tell even then it was horrid! They drove around in this van I think with swirly-wavy 70's style lettering of the band's name on it.

I like The Carpenters a lot. I'm not really embarrassed to admit that I like them. People just look at me weird when I tell them.

Karen Carpenter was an extremely talented singer. Some of her material was treacle, but there was a lot of depth to her singing. Alright, that is as serious as I'm gonna get, gang.

I do. It was horrible. Remember, David Letterman was on there. He did some stupid joke stuff, can't remember, he was sooooo bad. It was his first time doing something like that on television. He was a nobody then. Funny, who has the last laugh now??

I love the Carpenters. Karen's voice was as clear as, well, I can't think of anything to compare it to. She sang clearly, softly, it was the sound of an angel. No one can sing like that. I could actually understand the words. Beautiful voice.
