Default Weren't we all happy for Cindy when....

.......that red light made her nervous from that TV show? I know it's cruel, but she got what she deserved. Bobby wanted to be on the show too, but he didn't study hard enough. Then Cindy says to him, "Maybe I'm smarter than you". Then she walks away with her nose up. Watching her crack like that still makes me laugh to this day. I mean, she couldn't answer anything. She was a zombie.

Granted, some people get nervous by being on television. I just didn't like the arrogant was she presented herself to Bobby.

He was arrogant too. He thought he was too smart to study.

Yup, good point...

Bringing over-inflated egos down to earth was kind of a recurring theme on the B Bunch, as other posters have pointed out on these boards somewhere...

For Example:

Greg, thinkng he was a better driver than Marcia (although did you ever notice how the actual film freezes when Marcia approaches the cone, in order to make it look as if she stopped only 1 1/2 inches away... I think in reality she really rammed that thing hard and Greg really won, because EVERYONE knows guys are better drivers than girls!!!)

Marcia playing Juliet

Jan, most popular girl

Peter saves the little girl's life and becomes a hero

But in this instance, both Bobby and Cindy were brought back down to earth in the same episode...Bobby for not studying, and Cindy for being a
"dum-dum " on TV...

Another over-inflated ego episode: Greg thinking he was going to be a major league baseball player.

I think overall Cindy had the better deal when I consider Bobby apologizing to Cindy at the end. I don't mean to sound political or sexist, but I thought that apologizing bit reeked of feminism (which was a big issue at the time).
