Hi, I don´t think it´s a "duh" poll. Today all series depending on polls. If the response for series on TV and perhaps on DVD is low it will brake up and no more will be released. So I hope someone from Paramount might read this. So I think this poll is "correctamundo!" :-)

I think that the ONLY statistic that Paramount cares about is the sales for Season One of Happy Days - so if you want to see Season 2 on DVD, then let Paramount know by buying Season 1 on DVD NOW!!!

It's pretty much hopeless at this point; we already saw Paramount's views on this, and just when we thought they were the ONE company who cared about the fans, they turned their backs on us. When it comes out to it, DVD companies are just selfish little enterprises that do their best to make us bankrupt, while they're getting off scot-free, paying probably roughly 2 cents to remove every individual episode of a television series a piece and put them on disc. More and more crappy TV comes today, probably solely to get big DVD sales for big idiots who buy those shows.

To put it bluntly, they're doing us no "favors", for in the end, they got our money; we're doing them favors by buying the discs. But the bottom line is that we still love the DVDs, no matter whose behind them, and take pride in showcasing them; even if it means surrendering a limb or two to get them. So yeah, when it comes down to it, the good TV shows (classics) are basically ignored by the public who instead chooses to pay 70 dollars for 7 episodes of some crappy new show. The classics that do sell well are released, but since we have to make way for the crap, the shows who do not sell well, whether the show's first season or two were the strongest or not, (I direct you to Night Court's latest DVD news), the show is dismissed.

We saw miracles (The Mary Tyler Moore Show), but they rarely occur in the digital world. Sorry if this piece got a tad critical, but that's the kind of person I am . I'm sure I got some on my side here?

keep in mind that season one of TMTMS was NOT a "miracle" for a very long time - the initial sales for it were HORRIBLE, mostly because it was overpriced and unpromoted.

Hanng in there Pat, there is still hope for more HD dvd's

I almost bought the first season of Happy Days. I´ve waited so long to get it on DVD and I was happy to get that box.

I agree with you, TVDVDFan. I've seen stuff in the stores like Laguna Beach:The Complete First Season and The Osbournes, MTV shows that are pretty forgettable. They rush this stuff onto the shelves because its trendy but they shaft the classics from the 70s.

It sucks.

I think the problem with HD not being on DVD is that the show is not current enough. If HD were done in the 90s I bet the whole series would be on DVD.

count me down for the whole series, I didn't like some of the latter Ron Howard episodes, but I actually did think the show was decent in the early 80's, I personally liked the additions of Jenny, Roger, Flip (Billy Warlock is looking hot these days on Days Of Our Lives), K.C., Ashley and Heather.

No, it wasn't the same show it was, but if it had been a spinoff instead of remaining Happy Days, a lot of people would've liked those episodes better. IMO, Happy Days "ended" in 1980 and the show we got from 1980-1984 was really a spinoff that retained the Happy Days name.

Default i'd love the whole series on dvd

do i see it happening no,paramount sucks and your probably right if the show was a little more current like the 90's the whole series more than likely would be released.
