TV Fan Fiction Ideas

I am curious to see what some of your fan fiction ideas for "Night Court" would be or what you have thought about. Since I am still just seeing most of the eps, my ideas might not sound as good. (lol) I'm actually surprised a little that I've gotten a few already. (Since I'm usually writing for just one show now) But anyway...

Here is one idea I have thought about:

"What if Lana came back sometime later in the Series and was not married and no longer engaged?"

Here's what I have done and up on the fan fiction website so far in terms of fan fiction. I have Harry and Christine engaged in a Christmas episode. I have Christine's father and Aunt meeting Buddy not knowing Buddy was "special". (If you follow the show, Christine's father is not crazy about Harry because he thinks Harry's nuts.) Imagine what happens when Christine's father finds out Harry is the product of parents who met in a psychiatric ward. I also have Harry under the assumption that Christine has already told her father about Buddy, but she lies to him. I have a food fight in there and everything. That was a fun one to write. I have a bachelorette party gone wrong which is only part of the disasters happening in preparation for Harry and Christine's impending nuptials. (I never pictured the process going as planned. Nothing on "Night Court" ever did.) Then I have the two part "Sentenced To Life." (My favorite one to write because it has everything.) The wedding does not go smoothly with a bunch of things happening including Dan, Harry's best man, getting himslef into a major pickle that has Harry and eventually Christine going ballistic on their wedding day. Surprises abound and some old favorites appear. I also put a definite end to the show by giving fans a bit of an epilogue narrated by Harry.

Other ideas I have in mind. Dan and Harry competing for Christine's affections by taking her out with a few twists. An episode that would really give Harry closure on the death of his mother. An episode tailor made for Dan involving his participation in a men's magazine. My final idea is something involving the cast dealing with the possibility of life without Harry. I always wanted to see how that would have been since I felt Harry was the glue that held everyone together.

Oh, I also wrote a reunion movie. Once Jay Bowler updates his website, he told me he'd put that up. This movie is another tailor made for Dan.

Oooooh the life without Harry one sounds very interesting. Can't wait to see that one, when and if you write it.

Yes, this one I'm constructing in my mind right now. I think the chacacter of Harry Stone was taken for granted concerning his impact on the rest of the group. Everyone seemed to look to him for guidance and advice most of the time. Yet, what do they do when an unthinkable tragedy happens and they are faced with the prospect of losing his presence in their lives completely.
It is a cause for reflection and revelation.

I have a few interesting ideas tucked up my sleeve on how to present this one.

Ooooh I am very curious, is this earlier or later in the Series? Like is Christine in this one? (I'm sure she will be if you write it, lol )

Also I actually like how they look to Harry for advice and things. Just me.

Wow, what a great idea!!! I always thought it was such an interesting theme how Harry is so "young"...yet so parental/guidance figure to everyone else.

I'm definately going to read your stories over Thanksgiving break!!

To answer your question ClassicTVGal, it will be later in the series so Christine will be in it. Who else would I include?

For HaskellGirl, I always felt that critics didn't give Harry Anderson's presence on "Night Court" very much credit. I think they felt the show wouldn't have suffered if her were a part of it since John Larroquette stole the spotlight. However, I think Harry was the link that kept the chain of characters together. That was his job. From what I have heard cast members say in interviews, they felt the same way about Harry. I think I even remember John Larroquette mentioning tha,t like on the show, they really did ask Harry for advice many times. So, I think a storylline focusing on the possibility of Harry's presence missing from their lives would be an interesting topic to tackle.

As for the rest of my stories, I hope you enjoy them. They were a labor of love. Please feel free to give me comments. It helps me any time I write future stories. I like to hear what people think.

Haha. *Of Course* Who else? (Nobody, hehe)

But I really am anticipating this story Very, Very Much, . I cannot wait. And I am looking forward to the others.

Now, please forgive me if you've already answered this, but have you began the fiction?

I haven't started any of the story ideas mentioned yet. My schedule is a bit crazy right now. I do, however, jot down any ideas, lines or ideas that I have so I can remember them. I actually can't wait to start writing again. It's hard though because I'm a music teacher and this is concert season for us. Yet, if I get some down time I'll probably at least get one of them started.

The only ones that are finished are the ones that are up and one that will be up as soon as the fan ficiton website is updated.

Yes, I know what you mean about being busy. Esp around the holidays. And I need to get back to my fictions at some point. I haven't been 'on them' for a while now.
