I bought season two of The Partridge Family (always had a thing for Laurie!)
In one episode, Shirley goes back to college and on her first day on campus meets a young student who falls in love with her. In one scene while Shirley and her two daughters are at home trying on some sexy new hotpants outfits that Ruben their manager suggested they wear at their next concert, the doorbell rings. Shirley answers the door and who should be standing there? The student's parents, played by none other than Ann Morgan Guilbert and Norman Fell. Of course, one look at Shirley in her hotpants and they disapprove of the relationship. It was a quite humorous episode! |

The episode is titled "The Undergraduate". Season one has been available for a while and season two was released about a week ago.
I remember during the original run that it used to air along with The Brady Bunch on Friday nights. I've always like the Partridges better, but the Bradys seem to have the cult status. Edited to add: I almost forgot about another episode of interest. Morey Amsterdam guest stars in the season one episode titled "Did You Hear the One About Danny Partridge?". After having an accident on stage which makes the audience laugh, Danny decides to become a comedian and hires Morey, who plays two bit gag writer Ziggy Shnurr, to write some jokes for his act. Jackie Coogan (Uncle Fester) also appears in this episode. |
