Post Canceled or Ended

I love Step by Step. Its a great show. I watched it when it was orgianlly on, until it moved to CBS, then i forgot about, i believe it moved right, anyway, was this show canceled or did it just decide it was time to end. I want to hear it ended. It was a great show. Im 15 and i watched for almost its hole run.

I'm pretty confident that it was canceled.

It was canceled because the ratings weren't as good as CBS was expecting.

Originally, Step by Step was supposed to be canceled after season 5. After Sasha was arrested, they had trouble finding a replacement. Thats why Step by Step went from May of 1996 through March of 1997 without airing any new episodes.

Didn't they not have Cody period and replaced him with Jean-Luc in some episodes

Your right about the whole Sasha mitchel and almost being axed after season five. ABC finally canceled it after the sixth season, because they didn't want to renew their contract with the series...CBS picked it up with family matters. I watched both shows when they went to CBS fridays, and expected both to be picked up for another year, but it never happened. That's why the Step By Step Finale was pretty much the exact same episode as the full house episode when michelle is sad because her family wants to give up the house...The finale was only one part, and seemed very rushed....As far as Jean-Luc replacing Cody, I'm not sure about that. It didn't really work. He wasn't in the last year. I do think the additions of Rich and Lilly were good though. I liked the show better without Cody. Sorry...

As far as I'm concerned, it should have been axed after season 5 because seasons 6 and 7 sucked to high hell.In two seasons, they aired maybe 3 or 4 half-way decent episodes.

I dunno. I liked Cody when it was "ON". Now I watch it and think he's just annoying and not that funny...I like Rich better. And I think the last 2 seasons were 2 of the best....I thought Lilly was funny. Is is me or was she a bit perverted at times???...and Dana loosened up and became rather slutty. It was fun.

I've always liked Cody better than Rich. I wasn't too fond of that guy. I mean, he was okay, but Cody was irreplaceable, IMO.
