Default Stephen A. Smith said on his radio show that the Sacramento Kings...

will fire Rick Adelman real soon. He said he talked to someone close to the Maloof Brothers and said they have had it with Adelman. This is somewhat of a surprise to me.

Well he should have been fired for not reaching the finals in 2002

They are probably ready for a new voice.

Sacramento is my NBA team, but I know we ain't going nowhere. You're right Solomon, The Kings should have won it all in 2002. What did it was when Vlade Divac tipped the ball to Robert Horry in game four against the Lakers.

Adelman is a good coach, but something is missing. I used to like the Blazers when he coached them. They had all the tools to win it all. They came up short against the Pistons, Lakers(which they had no business losing to) and Bulls.

The Kings were screwed in 2002. Bibby was elbowed in the face by Kobe and Bibby got the foul. The Kings would have won on free throws and beat the Lakers in 6. As for the current situation, you can't blame Adelman. Christie was traded, Webber was traded, and Vlade was signed by the Lakers. I bet by the end of the season, Peja and Bibby will want out.

I mean who knows if the Kings would have won the series. Let's say Divac doesn;t tip that ball back and they go up 3-1. But then again the Lakers probably wouldn;t have won 3 straight so i guess that was the Kings year to win the title because they were defintely going to beat the Nets

If the Kings went up 3-1, they would have won in 5 because Bibby won the game with 5 seconds left in game 5.

The Kings had a 15-20 point lead in every game of that series-lol I think in one of the games at LA, they were up by 27

That was game 3. In the end, they won by 13 but they were up by 27.

Yeah, the Kings definately should have won it all that year. Forget the western finals, that WAS the NBA finals to me back then, because the Eastern conference was so weak back then. You're right, Solomon the Kings were up big in every game of the series except for game 1. L.A won that game in Sacramento, they never lead in that game. After that, Sacramento just took off and held L.A. in check. That game where Vlade tipped the ball to Horry, Sac was up by 30 something. One thing I could say about Vlade is that he flopped good against Shaq. That's how you beat him, psych him out, because you won't beat him from the inside.

When you weigh 250 and you guard some jungle animal that weighs almost 400, you don't need to flop, you will get knocked on your ass and there is not a thing you can do about it.

Divac was the main reason the Kings didn't get the ring-lol All he had to do was hit the ball SIDEWAYS, not straight back

The position he was in, he just had to tap it. Everything went too fast to tap it a certain way. He was tapping it away from the Lakers that were in the paint, forgetting that Horry was lurking outside.
