Could the new AOL Service help us? - Sitcoms Online Message Boards

I heard today about the new service that AOL will have where there are several thousand episodes from shows from Warner Bros. that will be made available for free. Has anyone seen a list of the shows?

Do you have to be an AOL member or is this free to anybody who wishes to view something?

http://www.usatoday.com/tech/news/20...assic-tv_x.htm here is an article that USAToday did, it says u won't be able to download the shows , only watch them via streaming. It says it will be available on AOL.com, so I guess everyone will be able to watch?!

Hopefully these will be unedited episodes.

I guess this explains why Channel 23 said they were unable to buy the rights to air the show this past fall.

When you stream a show you are actually DOWNLOADING it. It just takes a bit of figuring out where it is stored while you are watching it. Usually wherever your TEMP files go. Just look for a huge WMV type file. I have done this with many sites that offer streaming only. Then I just copy that file to another directory and rename it. Be sure you do all of this before you close your browser and/or media player though.
