Default Maude

Since Florida played the maid on Maude, does anybody else think that Bea Arthur's character should have made a guest appearance on GT? She has to visit her former maid and see how she's doing. :-P

we had a discussion abt this before, and i think the only good thing having Maude appear on Good Times would have done, is PROVEN that Good Times was a spin-off of Maude. Let's not get into that argument again. LOL

No Maude should have not made a guest appearance. It would not have made sense because....... You can find the answer to this on one of the old threads on this board about Maude and Goodtimes not being connected

She didn't have to visit, but her name should've been mentioned.

It still is a spinoff, it's just harder to convince Solomon now.

Florida did mention she was a maid but didn;t say for who, was that because Maude knew henry evans and not james evans? If she had said maude James wouldn't have know who she was talking about.

I have seen one episode of Maude and Florida was not in it. I was just wondering if she ever mentioned any of the kids.

Well Brian you needn't worry. We both know what the real answer is. People have their own perceptions as to what qualifies as a spinoff. No matter what is discussed on this board, Good Times will forever be known to the world and TV History as a spinoff from Maude. I apologize to the opposers for this post.

As far as Maude making a guest appearance it could have been a possibilty. She and Walter could be in Chicago visiting and could drop in on Florida and referred to Florida as an old employee without going into all the details about New York and Chicago. The writers would have had to have been very careful about piecing everything together.
