The animation is certainly copyrighted by the show's original producer Don Fedderson Productions. Fedderson died in 1994 but the show and all that is part of it now belongs to Paramount Television, whose distribution company Viacom is its official corporate owner. The design was naturally updated in color five years after the 1960 premiere when the show changed networks. Interestingly enough, astute viewers will also note that the show's title design (and subsequent font) was also used on the old "Dick Van Dyke Show" in 1961.

....the series was filmed at Desilu (for the most part- it eventually moved to CBS' "Studio City" complex by the end of the '60s)...and they also designed the title cards for the opening and closing credits as well.
Originally, "MY THREE SONS" was owned outright by Don Fedderson (controlled and copyrighted by his "Gregg-Don" corporate unit), with initial worldwide distribution through MCA-TV (his agents). When he moved the show to CBS in the fall of 1965, Fedderson sold all rights to the series to them, retaining his agreement to produce it. CBS still owns the rights to the series, but VIACOM, which had been "CBS Films" until separated from the network in 1971, owns the show. Paramount merged its corporate interests with VIACOM years ago, and their TV distribution unit now handles all syndicated and cable rights to the show.
