Mr. Carlin's Toupe! - Sitcoms Online Message Boards

Guys,

I love all the great comments made about Mr. Carlin's toupe! The best is in "The Last Picture Show" where they are all nervous about going on TV and just before air time the director calls out to the stagehand:

"Hey Harry, put a little make-up on the guy with the hairpeice!!!" The guy goes right to Carlin! hahaha!

There are several other cracks made about it throught the run if the series. But on the DVD commentary of "The Last Picture Show," Jack Riley says he never wore a toupe!!!" I can't believe that!!! Look at his hair it is so obvious! LOL! He says it's a bad dye job!!! But I don't think so!!!! LOL!

yeah I think he is a funny character and the toupe makes him even funnier.

I love the look on Mr. Carlin's face when they say "a little more makeup on the guy with the hairpiece".

I also love the Christmas episode where Carlin buys himself a toupee made of goat hair.

Jack Riley is so cool - he is a fellow Clevelander!!
