7:00pm
- Maid to Order
Frank and Carol want to hire a housekeeper. While they are away, a gorgeous aspiring model, Carrie Clark (DEBBIE JAMES), comes to apply and J.T. hires her. Unfortunately, Carrie is a terrible maid and, fearing that his parents will terminate her, J.T. starts doing her work for her. Finally, his parents figure it out and end Carrie's job--but her good-bye kiss makes it worth the effort for J.T.
Meanwhile, Carol's competitive nature is revealed when she becomes obsessed with her daughter Karen being named head cheerleader at school. When Karen doesn't get the position, she's not nearly as upset as Carol.
Also, Cody teaches an aerobics class in the backyard for a bunch of spunky senior citizens.

7:30pm - Don't Ask
Annoyed by having to take care of everyone including the baby, Frank and Carol order the kids not to bother them unless it's a dire emergency. Brendan is afraid to ask them to sign a permission slip for school, and Frank must reassure him.
Meanwhile, Karen believes that a sleazy record producer will make her a country music star. After she pays him to make a recording of her singing, she finds out that she was tricked.
Also, Cody accidentally orders a bride, Ludmilla (MARY-PAT GREEN), from a Russian mail-order catalogue.

- Hello; Mister Chips
When Al keeps getting terminated from jobs, Frank tells her to try harder. At her next job at a cookie store, Al's boss orders her to care for the store mascot, a rambunctious chimpanzee, for the weekend. After the mischievous animal wreaks havoc in the household, Frank must revise his advice to Al.
Meanwhile, after an innocent Mark learns how to play pool like an expert, J.T. tries to use him to swindle a local pool hustler. Also, Carol devises a plan to make Frank jealous and convince him to participate in a talent show.

7:30pm - Roadie
When Cody gets hired to work as a stagehand on tour with a popular rock singer, Christi Rose (singer DEBBIE GIBSON), she likes him so much that she hires him to be her bodyguard and travel with the band. Cody realizes that he doesn't want to give up his freedom for a life on the road.
Meanwhile, Frank becomes obsessed with the sports car he bought for the kids and doesn't even let them drive it. Carol reminds him that he should be glad for the children's happiness.

7:00pm
- The Wall
Dana and her friends, Rebecca (DAWN McMILLAN) and Lauren (SENTA MOSES), organize a feminist study group at school. When Cody hears about it, he excitedly joins. Dana is upset, but Rebecca and Lauren like Cody. At the first meeting, which no one attends except Cody and the three girls, Rebecca and Lauren become more interested in Cody than in the feminist issues. Later, to make Dana feel better, Cody gets a large group of women to come to the house for another meeting. Unfortunately, Dana finds out that they only agreed to attend the meeting if Cody goes on dates with them.
Meanwhile, Mark has no date for a school dance, but he attends anyway. At the dance, a pretty girl, Tawny Spencer (JULIE BENZ), gets angry at her bullying date, Chuck Plyter (BRAD HAWKINS), and defiantly asks Mark to dance. Mark and Tawny impress everybody with their dancing until Chuck challenges Mark to a fight. Mark defends Tawny, and Al and Karen support him, along with everyone else. Chuck leaves.
Also, Carol and Frank attend a couples' health spa. Carol loves it, but Frank gets a painful massage from a domineering masseuse, Inger (JUDY PIOLI ASKINS).

7:30pm - Baby Come Back
While Frank and Carol are away, J.T. and Al baby-sit for baby Lilly. Impulsively, they take Lilly to an audition to represent a baby food company without their parents' permission. J.T. and Al return from the audition before Frank and Carol get home. Unfortunately, in their haste, they bring the wrong baby home.
Meanwhile, at a beauty products convention, Frank annoys Carol by complaining about how boring it is. She finally tells him to wait for her in the bar. But Frank passes a beautiful product representative on his way out, and she convinces him to let her demonstrate a scalp massage on him. After Carol catches Frank flirting with the saleswoman, they argue and agree not to force each other to attend their respective business functions anymore.
Frank and Carol return home and find the wrong baby instead of Lilly. Luckily, the baby food company sends Lilly to the Lambert house with the parents of the other baby.
Also, Dana and Cody get trapped in Cody's magic box.

7:00pm
- The Fight Before Christmas
Carol arranges a date for Al with the neighbors' son, Matt Crawford (recurring guest star ANDREW KEEGAN). Al and Matt initially argue, but Frank later sees them kissing. He yells at Matt's father, causing a big family argument. After Al and the Crawfords go to a restaurant, Carol persuades Frank to apologize to them and bring them home for Christmas Eve dinner.
Meanwhile, George Humphries (recurring guest star JOHN ASTIN - the television series "The Addams Family") works with J.T. selling Christmas trees. J.T. uses sleazy tricks to sell the overpriced trees, but George reminds J.T. that the true meaning of Christmas is to make people happy. J.T. uses his own money to buy a tree for a poor child, Jimmy (CHAD POWER).

7:30pm - What's Wrong with This Picture?
Dana admires a famous feminist artist, Jayne McNeal (MELANIE WILSON), and agrees to pose nude for a painting. Since Dana is convinced that the work will be abstract, and she will not be recognizable, she proudly invites Frank, Carol, Karen and Al to a charity auction where it will be unveiled. Unfortunately, the painter decided to be realistic, and it's obvious that it's Dana in the painting.
Meanwhile, Frank refuses to hire an exterminator. He becomes so obsessed with catching a rat in the attic that he hurts himself and ends up having to use crutches with his arm in a sling.
Also, J.T. fears for his life when he ends his relationship with Casey Maxwell (ROBYN BLILEY), the daughter of an alleged crime boss.
