Default This is the last season of 7th Heaven...it's been confirmed

It was mainly because of budget costs. But if you want to read the whole story, go here:

http://news.yahoo.com/s/nm/20051111/en_nm/shows_dc

Longest running family drama in the history of television...not so shabby!

Yeah, I really hate to say it, but I'm almost glad it's ending. There's been a real drop in quality the last couple seasons, IMO. But I'm looking forward to seeing how things are wrapped up.

I just read about the cancellation on TV Guide's website ...

HEAVEN CAN'T WAIT: The Camdens of 7th Heaven have begun their slow march toward the pearly gates. WB has pulled the plug on the 10-year-old family drama, which will air its final episode in May. Although Heaven remains a solid performer for the network, averaging 5.1 million viewers a week, the show's sky-high budget made it too costly to continue. Must be all those pricey special effects.

Ditto. It was better before Jessica Biel and Barry Watson left. But time marches on, and it's understandable that they were ready to pursue other
projects. I hope the producers will tie together all the loose ends before the
series ends, though.

10 years, in the same timeslot... Longest Running Family Drama.. What a great achievement. Nice job, 7th Heaven cast and crew.

I agree. After Mary, Matt, and Robbie left, the show went downhill.

Am I the only one who's sad?

Oh well, it's been a great 10 years!

That it has! Hopefully, it won't take them forever to issue all 10 seasons on DVD... we have the first two seasons on DVD, but as of a couple of weeks ago, there's been no official announcement as to when Season 3 will be out...

I'll admit, it'll be VERY weird not having 7th Heaven on the air anymore. But I think it was time for the show to end.

I haven't watched the show for about 3 years. I'll probably turn in for the final though.

To tell you the truth, you haven't really missed anything. No offense to anyone. But I really think that it's prime days were when the show had all of the Camdens on the show and Robbie.

Thats when I really enjoyed the show. It got to much for me when Lucy started going out with Kevin and then the Reverend quit the church and all those new characters were added.

Yeah. That's when the show started focusing outside the Camdens. I didn't like that much.
