I think they have every right to. Parents need to learn that the world does not revolve around them and their precious little angels. There is nothing wrong with a little discipline. These parents have such a huge sense of entitlement. The sad thing is, if something happened to a kid because they were running around screaming, the parent would be blaming the establishment. (Happened more than a few times at the supermarket I worked at.)
I don't hate kids. I work at an elementary school and I love it. However, some parents need to learn that THEY are the ones in charge, not the kids. They need to take responsibility for their kids' behavior. I worked with a student last year who never did his homework. Mama's excuse: "He doesn't like to do it and I don't like making him." This same mother then got upset at the teacher because he got C's and D's on his report card. |

They must have taken the article down because it was there yesterday. I'll delete it and see if I can find another one.

If it's disrupting their business and causing other patrons to get angry and maybe even leave, then heck yes they have the right.
I wish more people would, because I seriously cannot stand parents that don't control their kids. They usually just end up yelling at the kid for yelling, which causes more yelling. Yeah, that solves everything.

Yes, I think they do have the right. Of course they can't demand it, but I don't see anything wrong with businesses telling out of control childen's parents to control their kids better. They should'nt even let it get to that point.

they can't tell them how to raise them at home, but they have every right to say "if you can't control them better than that, please leave my establishment"...
