Default Do you plan on buying all the DVDs?

Hey all. Just wondering if anyone on this board plans on completing the series on DVD ( providing they come out with all the seasons ) or do you just plan on getting up to a certain point and then calling it quits?

Personally, I am a bit torn. When I buy DVDs from my favorite t.v. shows, I like to buy the whole set for collection's sake. It's nice to have the whole series, complete with any extras that may be tossed in. Plus, I would regret not buying it all later on, say if the series was yanked off the shelf due to poor sales.

However, the later seasons of That 70's Show aren't my favorite...despite a few good episodes, they really aren't the seasons I'd set out to buy. I prefer seasons 1-4 (maybe even 5) and plan on buying those sets indefinately. I think with the later seasons, I may buy them but it won't be a top priority.

Who knows? We'll see if they even make it that far

I plan on buying all the seasons. One thing is because I'm mainly watching the show for the first time through the dvds. Secondly, because I'm a completist. I have to have all or none of something. That's why when a show I buy gets abandoned by the company, it aggrivates me.

Seasons 1 - 4 are definitely the ones I want to own.

Season 5, like retrogirl said, maybe.

After that I really doubt it.

Maybe many years from now, when I'm feeling nostalgic.

I have already bought seasons 1-3 right when they came out or when I found they had come out.

I will buy season 4 right away too, even though I wasn't a big fan of it because of Eric and Donna breaking up. I will buy 5 and 6 for sure right when they come out also.

I will buy Season 7 too when it comes out just because I'd like to look at the extras the include.

As for 8, if it evers comes out, I will have to buy it just for the fact that I don't think you can buy all the first 7 seasons of a show and not the last 8th season. It just wouldn't be a complete set. I might never watch many of the episodes, the commentaries maybe would be interesting to see how they were thinking and then also all the extra stuff. Plus I have a feeling that I will really like the finale or at least hoping it will be a good send off.

So I will buy them up until they don't make them even if the show goes on for 10 more years and sucks. I would just have to have them all

I will have to get the 3rd season since I really haven't gotten that season just yet. However, the 4th season is kind of rocky for me simply because of the issue about Donna and Eric's breakup and the whole effect of the kids supposedly being a bit wasted.

Season 5 I will definitely look at because of the fact that the once lovable Jessica Simpson and her Annette charecter did alot of cheering up for the show.

Seasons 6-7 when it ever comes out. I'll have to bring it to the backburner whenever it comes out since those seasons had some sucky episodes in them.

Season 8. That comes hopefully when it does since that Randy dude is a bit too forced for my tastes!
