As far as I know, he still lives in upstate New York, kind of living out the rest of his days.

Pat Priest was at the Munster house for our Annual Charity Event the end of Oct. Pat told us that she heard from Al and was doing fine.

He is now signing autographs again on her web site.

All I know is Pat said she talked to him and his wife and he was feeling much better. He was going to be signing pictures on there web site. The next time I talk to her I will ask her about the leg.

I heard he was going in for an angioplasty, and complications developed from his diabetes. To stop the overflow of bleeding, the only thing they could do was to remove his right leg from the knee down, and all five toes on his left foot.

I'm glad you feel okay. Al most likely has one, but I could just see him, probably the day he went to get one, he had a cigar in his mouth! LOL Al can't go anywhere without a big stogie hanging from his lip.

He's not 95. LOL!

He likes to make himself older by telling people he was born in 1910. He was really born in 1923.

I read on the movie database and a few other munsters sites he was born in 1910 which would make him 95

Only because people mainly look for birthdates at the IMDB, and end up copying the info and putting it on their websites.

Trust me, Al Lewis is the world's biggest fibber. He has lied about his age, his degree in child psychology, and numerous other things. Al lewis didn't even complete high school, so he couldn't possibly have any degrees.

In his Bio (on the Season 2 DVD) all of Al's 3 sons mention that he has told numerous stories and fibs, probably because he loves the attention it brings him.
