that since they got rid of the year on the license plate, they might sneak into the 1980's? I mean if they call it "That 70's Show" and the license plate says "1980" or "1981" it would be a little weird. This way they can finally change the year and not make a big deal of it.
Either that, or the final episode of the series would be New Years Eve, 1979 and the gang welcome in the year 1980. If they went by normal time, this is what it would look like: Season 1 - 1976-77 Season 2 - 1977-78 Season 3 - 1978-79 Season 4 - 1979-80 Season 5 - 1980-81 Season 6 - 1981-82 Season 7 - 1982-83 Season 8 - 1983-84 The first season covered 1976/1977. It was season two that lasted all season in 1977. Funny how three of my favorite sitcoms that were set in different decades had horrible continuity with their years. The shows are "M*A*S*H", which took 11 years, set in 3 years. "Happy Days", which found Richie a junior in the first three seasons. And of course, the third is "That 70's Show." |
