I realize some of these choice's are controversial, however this was a show about the 60's, and glossing over the negative aspects of the era would have cheapened the show.

I completely broke down when JJ came home from Vietnam. I mean, I lost it! I didn't think a TV show could have that effect on me, but of course we are talking about American Dreams!
![]() I accidently marked the wrong choice in the poll. Sorry!

But anytime Bob Dylan's "Times They Are A-changin" was played was a great moment for me. That song just sums up the 60's

the most emotional for me was when Beth talked to JJ over the phone and they talked about the baby that was such a good scene! but it wasn't one of the choices up there so I voted for when JJ was MIA

I couldn't decide between JJ coming home and when he left for Vietnam. When the episode about him going off to war aired, it affected me for days. Like, I just felt depressed about the whole thing. I can't really explain it.
But I ended up voting for when JJ came home because every time I watch it and the Byrds are singing (hehe) I get so emotional, and then when Will breaks and runs for JJ I just lose it. Ooh, maybe we should have included the moment when Helen goes to church and tells the family that he's coming home. Because when Jack breaks down, that's another moment when I start to cry. There are so many moments on that episode (and others) where I know I better have a kleenex handy. lol |

I have to say that i cry more when Helen recieves the call that JJ is safe and will be commig home; also when she goes to the church to tell the rest of the family. Of course when JJ came home that was very emotional too.
I love watching those two episodes over and over. It gets me every time. |
