Does anyone know anything about sitcom (t.v. show) Alais Smith and Jones??? I have been watching it on encore westren.. Thanks

This would be better on the drama boards.

As for the question, not much. My dad watches it all the time. Only thing I know is that Pete Deuel shot himself to death on Christmas. Don't remember why though.

I know a little about it. It aired on ABC in the early 70s, and the pilot was shown as a TV movie. I think they got the idea from the success of the movie "Butch Cassidy & the Sundance Kid" w/Paul Newman & Robert Redford.

Yes, Peter Duel did commit suicide & they replaced him in the show, but a LOT of people say the show "jumped the shark" then.
