Default OMG...read this awful story about Mabel King and a photograph???

While searching info on Mabel, I came across this awful story and a link to a supposed pic of her near the time she would die. This pic scared me. Tell me, is it her???????

I'll take your word for it. I don't want to see the picture. I want to remember her as she was, Mrs. Thomas.

I don't know if it was her, but that is a very scary looking photo.

Two other members of the cast have passed away: Shirley Hemphill, in 1999,
at age 52; and Fred Berry, in 2003, also at age 52. (Shirley died 31 days after
Mabel King.)

I know exactly which one you're talking about Irene. I read that stroy a couple of years ago, so it's no need to look back at it, LOL. Her eyes were bulging out of her eyes. Quite scary, especially the way the poster described it to us. Kinda sad.

BTW, I've owned the White Shadow DVD for over two weeks now. We get advance copies of items on my job sometimes and that DVD came in two weeks ago. I've been enjoying the old episodes again. Just like old times.

Hey, that's cool. Gonna get mine tomorrow. BTW, are there any major editing done on the DVD's?

Well, it had been several several years since she was seen on screen, but who knows. It seems she had no family. How sad. She seemed to have had a lonely life. I don't know, she was such a beautiful lady who deserved to have had a better ending to her life.

I don't know if the author meant to imply that he/she took the picture that day, but it looks to be a newspaper clipping. Also, the lady in the picture appears to be wearing a necklace that one would not think a nursing home patient would wear.

you know, i was thinking abt this article last night and i wonder who would be allowed to go outside and take a pic of the patient. what kind of person is this to even want to desecrate such a lovely lady? Who was allowed to take pics of the facility? I would think the security and the privacy of the patient would be something this facility would take care of seeing that it is a very famous facility for celebrities.

You know what. As much as I hate to say it, the picture does resemble her. However, how this person got a picture of her is another thing. You can tell just by reading it that whoever was talking with her seemed saddened by the condition that she was in.

you know, i agree with you. just watch any episode where Mama gets mad or something, and you will see her eyes open and bug out like in the pic. I am mad that someone would take a pic of her. This person didn't know her. They were there to visit some other celebrity friend and only happened to go over where she was. and he says he took her outside. who can take a patient outside without hospital knowledge? I would think that a place with such a high standard such as this place would be careful of who was let in and out due to the fact that they are celebrities or former celebrities and with the paparrazi, that is even more scarier.
As for the pic, I have scanned pics and when i reviewed it on my computer, it had that same grainy kinda look to it. It would look like a pic from a magazine or newspaper. So, i wouldn't doubt it was her. I have seen so many people that suffered from diabetes and they did not age gracefully. Mabel was a smoker, so that didn't help with her health and looks either.

Plus he did say that she asked him for a smoke, so........ In a way I can relate to something like that. I had a great aunt years ago who was in a nursing home. She had became senile, but she was first person I thought of when I first read that findadeath.com story. She died in 1988.
