Does anyone know if the man who was abducted from phoenix and whose car was found burning in california was his body found? The update on UM said that his body had not been found. But, I recall it actually was found buried by a tree out in the desert. Can anyone confirm this or not I would greatly appreciate it.

yes indeed, the body was found.
the man arrested implicated a man named majors who was already imprisoned on unrelated murder charges. however major's connection to angelo's case has never been corroborrated by evidence. |

I searched through Google, and came upon this link. It is a 1993 column that mentions the Angelo Desideri case, as well as James Majors (the man suspected of killing Desideri). |

Giuseppe "Joe" Calo is still in prison: Calo is serving life in prison for the crimes he pled guilty to in Arizona and he is currently 52 years old. Calo is currently serving 11 life sentences plus an additonal 140 years total for various other charges. Mostly seperate 21 year stints for armed robbery as well as a 14 year burglary sentence. However because he pled guilty all the armed robbery charges and burglary charge were probably all merged together. However even when those are up in 2014 he still has 11 life sentences. He will never get out. Calo is currently serving his time at the Lewis prison complex in Buckeye, Arizona. Jim Majors I dont think was ever charged in this case. He is currently on death row in California.

Has a motive ever been determine? Why did James Majors kill Angelo. Angelo owned a mens clothing store, doesn't sound like he lived a double life.

Well Joe Calo worked for a guy that wanted Angelo dead. I am not sure why. It seems like drugs and insurance money and other things involved a lot of these hits. Angelo was probably hording in on Calo's bosses business so he ordered Calo to hire a man to knock off Angelo. Majors was a hired hitman who killed several people in Arizona and California. Calo was involved because he hired Majors I think and also because I believe he knew Angelo so that Angelo would trust him to let him in.
