Default My thoughts on the new season

Well, I just got done watching the season premiere. There were some things I liked about it and others I didn't. Mostly, though, I was pleasantly surprised that it was quite funny.

However, I really miss the presence of Eric He really does add to the show and his disappearance is definately obvious. Plus, Mr. Forman can't unleash his inner fury as much

Also, I don't really like that Samantha girl Bad acting, pointless character....I believe she's just there for a skin show. Just my opinion. Randy is OK....I think I'll wait on him a bit. He may grow on me sooner or later *shrugs*

Kitty, Leo, Kelso, and even Bob made me laugh the most. Hopefully the rest of the cast perks up and sparks up some of that old chemistry. It must feel really weird for them coming back to do a show without one of their main cast members(who they've known and worked with for a long time). The whole show is changing in its last season and I bet it's not easy to handle.

All in all, though, I really enjoyed the episode

part 1 was pretty good in my book but the 2nd part was just OK, the only bad thing was the stripper. But as long as the keep her as a small background character (like I hope) I think it'll be fine. The thing that gets me is how can they give her more screen time than Bob who was there for the whole past 7 seasons. He was there for like 30 seconds and the stripper was in a whole episode. Leo was alright, not as funny as he used to be. Randy, they didnt exactly give him a proper intro so I'll wait and see how he is. The whole first part I'd say a 9/10 and the 2nd 6/10, I liked the whole bar scene with Donna, Jackie, and Fez.

i thought it was pretty good i liked the second half a little better than the first i kind of liked samantha but i will agree she might be best in small doses im not sure what to make of the whole kitty smoking pot storyline .and im also unsure about randy but he seems like he might be ok once we get used to him. but i loved the part with fez jackie and donna at the bar i really dont think the show will be as unwatchable as some people were thinking it might be

For the most part, I liked it. The only thing I didn't like was their way of getting rid of Charlie. That aside, I liked the episode. I feel the show could last the rest of the season and maybe another. However, I think a 9th season would be too much. Even if Eric and Kelso were still around.

I have a question. Does Hyde still live with the Forman's? I've only seen seasons 1 & 2 and the 7th season finale.

Yeah, Randy just sorta slipped in there....I hope his character warms up a bit.

You're right...it seems a LOT better than even I gave it credit for. I only wish "Eric" could've been there too, but c'est la vie I am definately going to stick around and watch the rest of this show.

Yeah, I kinda felt like Charlie's farewell was sorta half-assed. Nobody even seemed sad that he was gone

To answer your question about Hyde still living with the Formans...I think so. I mean, they allowed Samantha to move in, so I'm assuming Hyde is still there.

Part one was boring, awkward, and unfunny.

Part two at least had some meat to it, and was decent.

One thing that makes no sense to me- when did Hyde go to Vegas?
Right after finding Kelso and Jackie or later?

Because they flash back to Red finding the pot and Kitty getting busted- with Hyde there.

This was after Eric left, but did this happen before Hyde went after Jackie (and they never showed it last season)?

Yeah, I'd imagine that Hyde went to Vegas after finding Jackie. He busted Kitty first.

The episodes were actually really strong I thought. Perfect? Not by a long shot. But they were strong in comparison to what we've gotten the last few seasons. There were some VERY funny moments (Red recording his messages to Eric), some funny moments (Kitty being high), and some less than funny moments (Kelso screaming)...but it was overall okay.

I hate the way they killed Charlie since he seemed like he had potential. The Randy guy seems like he could be okay, though. He looks the part, though.

Who else noticed they don't even have the year on the license plate anymore? I thought that was a nice touch.
