Default Bruce Willis Pilot Commentary?

I'm seriously contemplating buying the Pilot DVD alone just because of the commentary with Bruce and Glenn Gordon Caron. From anyone who's seen it? Is the DVD Pilot alone worth it to buy just for the Bruce/Glenn commentary?

In my opinion, it is definitely worth buying if you can find it.

Bruce and Glenn talk through at least half of the Pilot. For some odd reason, they say very little through the second half.

Plus, I love the insert. The pics are not just from the Pilot. There is a pic of Cyb hanging from the clock in which she is wearing a sweater (looks like a man's sweater to me).

Plus, you can see BW's screen test, and the screen test of another actor that the ABC execs were very high on. The other actor was not made to be David Addison IMO. He was a little pretentious, too sophisticated and not funny at all. And the other actress shown was not a Maddie Hayes either.

They scored big time with the casting of Bruce and Cybill.

Default commentaries not bad

I have the pilot and watched it recently to hear the commentary of bruce willis and glenn caron about the show, it is interesting because it gives other information concerning the show that are not in the 1&2 seasons commentaries.
I am wondering thought why they stop talking for a long time at the second part and why Cybill Shepherd wasn't invited to do the commentary as well in 2000.
Anyway if you buy it for the commentaries you should.

I actually gave in and ordered it, LOL! Also, a friend told me that she heard an interview with AB and she said that it was difficult scheduling the commentary for the S1/2 DVD set because Cybill and Bruce wouldn't do one together (sigh! Get OVER IT!). So since Cybill's and Glenn's commentary for the S2 Disc was supposedly the first time they got together in forever while Bruce and Glenn are still friends, I'm thinking that's why Cybill wasn't doing commentary for this pilot. They [DVD producers] probably figured they could get two (Bruce and Glenn) or one (Cybill) and went with the two.

I liked the commentary with BW and GGC but I thought they treated Cybill as kind of an after thought. I learned a lot about the making of the show but it focused a lot more on Bruce. There was a quick reference to the tension between him and Cybill because of the long hours together, they said. Definitely worth watching.

It was kind of like a Bruce lovefest by Glenn, wasn't it? And Cybill was treated like she was invisible.
I love it now that the first two seasons have been released, and the world can see how great Cybill was also.

I still think that the Pilot DVD is worth the money though.

Speaking of the pilot, I am planning to rent all the seasons to refresh my memory about the series. Netflix has every season, but not the pilot as yet. It can be "saved" for rent when Netflix does acquire it. I take it then that the pilot is not on the season one DVD's... is that correct??

Actually, The Pilot is on the boxed set as well. It's just different from the stand alone release as the new sets are from Lion's Gate and the 1st release was from Anchor Bay. And, if you're one of those "essed" words like many of us, you should definitely get both. The screen test on the 2000 release was great to see. It shows you that no one else could have played David. Bruce Willis IS David Addison. Kismet's got the description of that other guy to a tee.
