Ehh, I thought tonight's episode was a little weak, definately not as good as the first two. I thought the whole circle scene with Donna, Jackie, and Sam was cute
Otherwise, I thought the episode was merely OK.

I liked it. Randy's okay. It will take more than a couple episodes for me to totally like him, but he's definately on the right track. I loved Fez's attitude the whole time thinking the cop and them going to jail was all part of the surprise bachelor party. Of course, the highlight for these season 8 episodes have been Kelso. So it will be the real test when he finally leaves the show.
At least with Hyde living with the Foremans, it's not weird having the gang still hang out in the basement. If Hyde didn't live there, then it would make no sense for the gang to sit in the basement of their friend, who lives in Africa. A couple questions: Does Donna still live at home with her dad? That room didn't look like the old house setting. How long has Kelso been a cop? Are any of them in school? I know the gang, minus Jackie graduated highschool at the end of one of the seasons. Did they go to college? How long has Hyde run the record store? Also, how often do the girls have the 1/80 scenes? From the first two seasons (which is all I've really seen), it's only the guys (Eric, Kelso, Hyde and Fez) with a couple of occassions where Donna or Jackie joined in. |

It was a fair episode. Not as good as the premiere, but not as weak as some of the past few seasons have been. In all fairness, as much as I love Eric, he'd been a very weak link the last few seasons, so I'm not sorry to see him and Star Wars jokes go. They just weren't fun anymore. Randy, while underdeveloped, is more than an adequate replacement, so I'll stick with him. Not too bad at all.
As far as your questions... 1) Yes, Donna still lives at home. The room they were in is a living room that they've spent a lot of time in over the years. I've never really understood how it connects to the rest of the house. 2) Kelso decided to join the police academy in season five, started in season six, and became a cop in season seven. 3) Donna was going to a community college while she waited on Eric to be prepared to go -- he had to take care of Red following the heart attack -- and she was also working at the radio station. Seems to me that they've dropped the college thing. 4) Hyde met his real father last season and he owned a chain of stores. He handed one over to Hyde and his newfound sister, but the sister was essentially a bitch, so she left and Hyde was left running the store. He gave some duties to Leo. 5) The girls don't have too many circle scenes by themselves. There aren't any instances where I can think of off the top of my head. I didn't really care much for last night's, so maybe it's best left to the guys. |
