Wink When did singers jump the shark?

There is a website called, "Jump the shark" and they talk about when TV Shows go bad. How about singers? I thoughht one instance was when New Kids On The Block decided to change into NKOTB! I hated that! I hated saying NKOTB! Saying New Kids On The Block sounds better.

Rod Stewart jumped the shark twice - first with his single "Do Ya Think I'm Sexy?" and then with his series of Tin Pan Alley albums!

Paul McCartney-When he began recording duets with Stevie Wonder and Michael Jackson.

The Rolling Stones-The 1986 album Dirty Work.

Van Halen-When Eddie's ego began to take over in the mid-1990's.

Elton John-When he recorded The Lion King soundtrack.

Phil Collins-His 1993 solo album, Both Sides, and quiting Genesis in 1996.

Aerosmith-When the videos for Get A Grip in 1993 and 1994 were more important then the album itself.

my opinion is when Elton said he was gonna retire, when? in the eighties, and then again in the nineties, and he never did. I remember his so-called farewell concert. Man, i bet those who paid big bucks for those tix felt like fools when he never bid "farewell".

Hey remind you of Cher? She had like SIX "Farewell" tours! Her latest tour was called, "The Final Farewell Tour: Never Can Say Goodbye"

Ice Cube after he did the movie Friday. He became popular with the suburban crowd after this movie came out, and the hardcore gangster stuff he was once known for, was forever gone.

When Christina Millan turned from sweet fresh innocent teenage to a slutty sex symbol...... She sang "From AM to PM(not slutty) to Dip It Low"(slutty)But she jumped back because she dropped the slutty sex symbol after one CD/song and went back to her innocent beginnings.

well, Ice Cube is in his mid to late 30's and he's a millionaire, there's no real need for him to still be as bitter, angry and anti-white now than he was when he was younger. I am not a fan of his but it was a good idea to soften up because I think a lot of rappers have way too hard of an image when you consider they're millionaires and still acting like they live with their mother

hasn't every teenage singer gone the slut route at some point? Even the "wholesome" Debbie Gibson and Tiffany both eventually posed nude
