Someone had mentioned that Christine and Harry shared their first kiss in "Fire", but I was doing some searching last night and found a few Screen Captures to "Let It Snow" .. (where the gang is snow bound in the building) and they kiss in that episode! (And I can't wait to see this one!!
) But this episode is BEFORE "Fire". (Listed on the epguide site) Which would definately make it not their first kiss. So in what episode did that really first kiss?? |

That might make more sense, because I loved the Fire kiss, but it seemed kinda random...they just kissed as if it was something that they had done before.

The first time Harry and Christine shared a kiss was in episode #90 "Let It Snow." It was a Christmas episode. At the end of the episode Christine goes over to Harry ans says, "Sir, it's after midnight. Merry Christmas. " Harry says, Merry Christmas." Then Christine says (somewhat coyly) either, "Too bad we're not under a sprig of misteltoe right now." or "Too bad we don't have a sprig of mistletoe right now." Something to that effect. Then Harry says, "Will you ever learn." He takes off his hat and has a slinky-like spring with mistletoe on it on a band on his head. Then, they kiss. It was the screen capture for the end of the episode, done like a postcard, for viewers which read "Season's Greetings!"

Yes, I saw the "Seasons Greetings" thing. Cute. Okay, thanks for the re-cap! I really can't wait to see it! I hope they air it this Christmas!
They kissed in one of tonight's 'My Time Marathon' eps.... "The Night Before Christmas"! I just knew it was probably gonna happen .... I mean with just the two of them.I am also hoping they will show the Finale during their New Year Marathon!

It's weird, I remember Harry doing that, but don't remember that ep. Xmas eps I know are where Bull has to be warmed up in a huge oil drum, and where Harry spits out eggnog after hearing Buddy fly off. Plus their last one, where Dan saves a suicidal Santa.

The one we're talking about is the one where they are warming Bull up. The kiss happened at the end of that episode.

"The Night Court Before Christmas" was another great one too. How about when Harry asks Christine what the tradition is for collard greens and she says, "A firm handshake."....if you listen closely some of the audience members kind of give Harry a pathetic "Aw" becuase they feel bad she wouldn't kiss him. Of course after she leaves for a brief second then comes back she utters the line, "Only kidding, Merry Chrsitmas." Then she kisses him. It was so cute.
The suicidal santa Christmas episode was so horrible. It so did not fit characters' personalities. I can believe that Dan would help the santa man out, but there were other things that I didn't buy. First of all, Harry is not that much of a jerk, Christine would carry on but not that badly about Charlie's Christmas gifts and Dan wouldn't be the only one trying to help out that santa. Also, the Christmas episodes always seemed to end with everyone happy and celebrating the holiday. As I recall, this one didn't do that. I wish I could just re-write that whole ninth season. As any member of the "Night Court" gang would say, "It sucked rocks!" |

Heh heh, though against character, it was one of the few humorous eps of the last season. Dan was given some actual good Dan-isms for the first time in years ("God rest ye merry gentleman, and widows far and wide. Have no fear this Christmas season cuz Danny's by your side.") Plus the Santa pointing a gun at Dan and saying "Ho, ho, hold it." And when Dan tells him to go home, charges dropped, the audience reaction was great. It ends with Dan adjourning to the broom closet for xmas nookie.
But yep, the characters were in foul moods that ep. Christine tells a telephone operator to help her "or I'm going to reach through this phone and rip your lungs out." Roz wants to kill the baliff choir, and Harry being sexually harrassed by some harpie. Bull says he wants to kill his wife, I forget what Mac was up to. |

Oh don't get me wrong. You're right. Dan did have some good lines in this one, but it wasn't totally in the Christmas spirit. Dan's problem with the santa were solved but no one else's were. It did not follow the wonderful Christmas format that the other Christams episodes did. Everyone was still miserable at the end except Dan.
