Sad Where's Mabel?

I know some fans didn't think Mabel served much of a purpose to start with, but I really missed her in Season 3. It's not What's Happening without Mabel and her necklace ya know?

I really wished she would've made a guest appearance or two, but she was probably too mad at the network to ever return. Am I the only one who liked Mabel as Mabel?

I now have new-found appreciation for Mabel, after watching Season 1.

And Mabel was a premier top-notch actress. Excellent timing and nonverbal acting as well.

I reread that TVparty article. It's pretty interesting. It's too bad W.H. didn't do better. Although according to the article, it did fairly well. It was one of my fave shows when I was growing up during its' original run. Too bad "Rerun's" success went to his head. The problems he caused probably helped to lead to the cancellation of the show in part, at least. I still enjoy watching it.

Signed,
Respectfully,
Dutch

It's a shame Mabel didn;t understand that viewers of this show wanted to see raj and his friends and not her. So if she was looking for a bigger role it wasn;t going to happen because most fans wanted to see the guys at the soda shop making fun of shirley, not mabel at home. So getting rid of her was the right move

it may have been the right move in your eyes, but then who are these two children being watched by? You can't show two minor children in a house with NO PARENTS. If the show stuck only in the soda shop, never showing parents and a home, then maybe. So the beginning of the show should have been abt three guys hanging out at the soda shop, and maybe showing them at school alot more. Maybe add some other things. But to show a home with no mom or dad, would leave the audience asking, who is in charge of these kids?

I really enjoyed "Rerun sees the Light" as it gave Mabel King a chance to do something besides walk downstairs and leave the house. Seems like that is all she did the entire second season and there were a few episodes that she wasn't even in. I really wish they had done more with her character as I think she was a fine actress.

They should have gave her a husband. She was pointless on the show without a man.

What world do you live in or come from? Why did she need a husband? Also why not having a husband made her pointless?

BECAUSE SHE WASN'T FUNNY!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!. Now The Florida Evans character was still able to do a show without a husband because she had acting skills. Mabel Didn't and was very very DRY!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Funny how when she left the show it went down after that, that's probably why it only lasted 3 seasons. I loved her on the show, she was a strong character and seemed like the only one, other than Dee who had common sense most of the time.
