Yes, I remember the episode. I wish they would release Alice on DVD. I'm starving for that show. Last time I saw it, TNN(now Spike TV) aired it a couple of years ago.

Yeah, she was played by actress Victoria Carroll and was on the show(off and on) from 1978-81. She was always talking about marrying Mel and they were always getting into fights. She temporarily filled in as a waitress after Flo left.

I think the first appearance of Marie was during the episode where Alice's boyfriend got some extra tickets for the Celebrity benefit starring Bette Davis, Roy Clark, and O.J. Simpson. They had two extra tickets so Alice invited Flo and Vera, but Flo and Vera thought they were inviting them and their dates.

Mel got involved and he thought Alice should give him and Marie the tickets.

Marie was a bartender at the Cha Chug A Lug.
