Default The only thing I didn't understand about the opening credits was.........

Sherman Hemsley Jumping rope with the Girls-lol Never understood why that scene was created. Seems like he could have just gotten out his car, spoke to the girls playing rope and then continue to head toward the church. Everytime I see him jumping rope I just shake my head

Hey I like it. reminds me of when we played that in school. it also shows he can be a kid at heart, not just be an adult. the kids can relate to him. Plus, he showed off his skill. I like it. Not a boring opening credit.

Maybe it's just me but a group of young boys throwing the football around and Sherman catching a pass would have been a lot better.lol

I used to always try to imitate Sherman Hemsley in the credits whenever this show came on!

I liked the fact that he jumps rope, probably did his share with Thelma when she was growing up. I could never do double dutch, so he's got one over me!

I love it when he locks the car door with his keys. That is an anicent way of locking the door now though, lol.

You know the sign that says "DON'T EVEN THINK ABOUT PARKING HERE!" at the very beginning of the opening credits, in which Deacon Frye parks in that spot reserved for him? Well, I also happen to find that a little funny, too!
