Hey kids, TJL here.
Nice to see you. Love that hat. Anyhoo... The new season of Gilmore Girls has been very fresh and exciting, with Lorelai and Rory off on thier own seperate adventures. Lorelai is having the time of her life in Stars Hollow with her thriving business, incredibly understanding fiance and psychotic dog, and Rory is busy finding herself with her DAR functions, poolhouse quickies with Logan and the hundreds of hours of community service... but have the writers thought about that one special character that has been lost in the shuffle this season? Marty. Yes, Marty, the loveable platonic pal of Rory's who graced the corridors of Yale back when Rory had her **** together and would never think of doing something stupid like getting arrested for stealing a boat. Sure, when we first met Marty, he was buck nekkid in the hall outside Rory's room, but he quickly became more than "naked guy," endearing himself to all of us who just can't help but root for the affable shlub who never ever gets the girl no matter how friggin nice he is. I certainly hope they devote an upcoming episode to Marty, so we can see how he is doing. Hopefully, in the time he has been away from us, he has come into his own at Yale. Perhaps he's found a better paying job, has come to terms with his slightly warped family life (Remember he found out his Uncle was really his father? Yikes!) and hopefully is dating a co-ed who has a keen intellect and wonderful soul wrapped in the body of special guest star Kelly Cuoco, the hot blonde girl now on "Charmed." Marty, if you're out there dude, we, the Gilmore Girls fans here at Sitcoms Online are pulling for you, and hope to see you back in the credits real soon. Stay strong, naked brutha!

I am all for the revival of the Marty character. Hopefully we'll be seeing him again when Rory returns to Yale. Rory is obviously not as smart as she is portrayed to be... Marty is 284920x better than Logan.
I always see him in that Olive Garden commericial and go "hey it's Marty!". One night I was watching TV with my mother and saw that commercial and proceeded to talk about Marty for another twenty minutes. Of course my mother had no idea what I was going on about. |

TJL!!!and it's weird, I was JUST thinking about where Marty went yesterday. I wonder if they were going to go in a direction with Marty, but decided to drop him? Cause he just kind of left, ya know? There was no closure. |

Maybe when Rory gets back to Yale, he'll make an appearance.

Kaley would be lucky to have Marty dammit!! Sorry, I got out of line there. Seriously, it would be a great opportunity for the WB to do some crossover casting.
