To any folks who get those little "X" marks over where a picture should be, just keep refreshing the page until they all show up.

Sorry, but I know how people hate watermarks, so this time I thought the higher quality PNG format would be better.

The quality is so high, I believe you can see the film grain on some of the pictures.

Eh, BTW, just incase anybody is wondering, Universal did NOT remove Herman's singing of "Dry Bones" in episode 50, and Eddie's jazz songs in episode 62. I know how in Season 1 there are some songs replaced, but this time, Universal left them in.

Also, the original theme song is used in ALL the episodes. There are no TVLand versions of the Season 2 theme in the DVD set. Each episode has original opening, title, and closing theme, with the KayRo-Vue bumper at the end.
For some reason, though, episodes 39-45 & 66, do not feature the crashing doors sound. You see Herman break the door, but there is no crash sound in those episodes.

Great photo set of the entire series! Looks like you picked out almost the best single "shot" representing each episode.

p.s. maybe it's my LCD monitor or the .png format but do these appear a bit dark to anyone else? M#1 did you adjust brightness in your captures?

Nope. These are direct shots.

Movie and TV film is usually made a lot darker than the camera film you take pictures with.

(11/15/04 ~ I re-Black & Whitened the photos, and did add more contrast.)

Default just a test

This is just a test so I can see what format looks best on most computers.
first is M#1 png format, then a jpg montage I made of M#1's .png converted to .jpg, then my raw image, then ligtened, then my adjusted image. I made each to M#1 size. Anytime I capture an image it always looks darker then when I view the DVD. That's why I usually adjust the brightness. What looks best for future posts?

thanks
.png format

To be honest, my PNG format does look the best. When you brighten the image you give it a white-wash and it looks like it was filmed on an overly-sunny day.

Brightness alone might not help a picture. If you really want to adjust a photo, it's really a combination of brightness, contrast, and if neccessary, convert to Black & White or greyscale.

Below is my pic touched up with brightness, contrast, and coverted to Black & White.
Underneath that, is the original pic, with the adjusted one half way up on it.

I decided to PNG, too. From the web:"A PNG file can generally end up being twice the size of a JPG and three times larger than a GIF and some browsers, such as older versions of Internet Explorer and Netscape, incorrectly render them. I don't see it taking over any time soon."

And of course I couldn't resist... (I was in a hurry.)

My best,
Dirt
