How did y'all like Don Knotts as Mr. Furley - Sitcoms Online Message Boards

When I forst heard he was joining the cast, I was shocked. I used to wonder, "how would he do". I'm so used to seeing him as Barney Fife. However, I thought he was pretty funny. That role sorta fit him.

he brought new situations that you could not have with the Ropers. I have always been a Don Knotts fan.

i thought that Mr.Furley and Barney Fife acted the same really. I could see some thing in Barney that would remind me of Mr.Furley and vice versa. I love Don Knotts! He's great!

Don Knotts is really good at being Mr. Furley. I like him much better than the Ropers.

I thought his physical comedy was excellent...gotta love those bug-eyed facial expressions!
