They made one good album in my opinion which is their first album Licensed To Ill. Everything they've done after that sucks. Their fans & other rappers praise them too much talkin about they're pioneers. Whatever. They never were good rappers anyway. Only reason why i like their first album is because of the hard beats. The New Style, Paul Revere, Hold It Now Hit It, Posse In Effect, Slow & Low, Time To Get Ill are my favorite songs on their first album. She's On It song they did on the Krush Groove soundtrack sucks.

Man, I thought I was the only one who thought the same way.
And one of their voices grates my nerves. That high-pitched rapper. ? |

I actually like them. They keep evolving and have put out some really interesting albums. I admit their earlier stuff didn't have alot of depth too it but Pauls Boutique, Check Your Head and Hello Nasty are pretty good albums that kind of push the envolope for their time. Lyrically theyve also grown very intelligent.

And don't forget the song "Fight For Your Right To Party". That song was from the album "License to Ill" and it was also the first song that was played on "Jack" at 101.1 since it flipped from oldies on CBS-FM back on June 3rd.

Musicradio77 i swear you always be telling me something i already know. I wish you would stop doing that. Yes the Beastie Boys sampled Kurtis Blow saying hold it now from his Christmas Rappin song on their Hold It Now Hit It song.

at least looking at their fanbase and where they get their airplay, I think Beastie Boys are more or less a rock group who raps, as opposed to a hip hop act. If you're a hip hop fan, you probably won't like them, if you're a rock fan, you probably love them.
